Location: Dublin, Ireland or London, UK (Hybrid)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Ireland’s leading engineering consultancy as a Senior Energy Engineer. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced building physics and energy professional who is passionate about delivering sustainable, high-performing buildings and leading high-performing teams.

The Role

 

As Senior Energy Engineer, you will provide technical and strategic leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects, managing and mentoring a team of engineers and team leads. You will play a key client-facing role, building strong relationships with clients, presenting technical solutions, and guiding projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and manage a team of energy engineers and team leads, fostering collaboration, development and technical excellence.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, confidently presenting technical findings and sustainable design solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership on building physics, energy modelling and sustainability projects.
  • Undertake and oversee daylight, sunlight and overshadowing analyses.
  • Conduct and review wind and microclimate assessments.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate energy and building systems, communicating findings to clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Carry out Part L and BER performance assessments and cross-checks for preliminary designs and planning applications.
  • Lead projects from detailed design through to practical completion.
  • Mentor and support junior and graduate engineers, contributing to their professional development.
  • Prepare and review high-quality technical reports and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and present sustainability strategies for clients, providing clear, practical recommendations to achieve low-carbon, high-performance building outcomes.

 

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Sustainability, Building Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ technical experience in building physics, energy modelling and sustainable building design.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management capacity.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing engineering teams, including the management of senior team members and team leads.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and confidently to clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, report-writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, particularly Part L and BER requirements.
  • Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and standards would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in IESVE and One Click LCA software is essential.
  • Experience in delivering sustainability and low-carbon building solutions.
  • Professional accreditation such as BREEAM Assessor/AP, LEED Green Associate/AP, or similar sustainability certifications would be highly desirable.
  • Chartered Engineer status or progression towards chartership would be advantageous.
  • Proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused, with a positive, can-do attitude.

EC&I Resident Engineer (Plant Project)

Salary: R70 000 – R75 000 per month
Contract Duration: 12-Month Contract (with possible extension)
Location: Site-Based / Remote Work within South Africa

We are seeking a qualified and experienced EC&I Resident Engineer to join a major plant construction project within the mining sector. Please note that this role is focused on the processing plant and associated infrastructure, and not underground mining operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and construction procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements

  • NDip, BTech, BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering
  • 3–7 years’ relevant industry experience
  • Previous site-based project experience is essential
  • Willingness to be site-based and work remotely within South Africa
  • Experience within industrial plants, processing plants, SMPP, EPCM, or heavy engineering environments will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor EC&I construction activities on-site
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements
  • Conduct inspections and support quality assurance processes
  • Verify contractor progress and payment claims
  • Coordinate site procedures and construction documentation
  • Assist with commissioning and handover activities
  • Liaise with contractors, project teams, and client representatives
  • Support project delivery within agreed timelines and quality standards

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of construction and engineering projects
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and site compliance processes
  • Experience with payment verification procedures
  • Exposure to commissioning within Electrical, Control & Instrumentation disciplines
  • Proficiency in Autodesk software packages will be advantageous
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a site-based environment

A well-established company in the construction support industry is seeking a dynamic and driven Marketing & Sales Representative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling specialised construction solutions, while building strong client relationships across the Free State and Northern Cape regions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Promote and sell the company’s products and services to new and existing clients

Identify new business opportunities and grow market share

Maintain and develop strong customer relationships

Represent the company at networking events, golf days, and industry awareness initiatives

Conduct regular client visits across the assigned regions

Provide feedback on market trends and competitor activity

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

At least 2 years’ experience as a Sales Representative

Valid driver’s licence

Own reliable vehicle (essential)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Willingness to travel within the Free State and Northern Cape

Experience within a similar industry will be advantageous

Senior Bridge Technician

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• A recognised qualification in Construction.

• Have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Bridge drafting environment.

• Have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a Structural / Civil drafting environment.

• A minimum of 3 years Revit modelling experience.

• Knowledge of Civil 3D and/or Site 3D.

• Experience in leading bridge drafting projects on road, rail and pedestrian structures.

• Site experience in inspection of bridge structures.

• Knowledge and familiarity of materials such as concrete, steel and masonry.

• Collaborative Mindset. The ability to work closely with Bridge Engineers to resolve complex geometric challenges.

• Attention to Detail. An eagle eye for consistency, scale, and technical accuracy.

• Production of document registers.

• Experience in developing and management of Junior Technicians.

  • UK/Ireland Experience essential.
