Operational Accountant in Klapmuts (Paarl)

A growing Group business based in Klapmuts (Paarl) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operational Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys operational finance, systems, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • BCom Accounting or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • 1 – 2 years’ post-articles or operational accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Hands-on experience with Xero Accounting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, financial analysis)
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written)
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport

Advantageous Experience

  • Manufacturing, FMCG or multi-entity Group finance environment
  • Completed SAIPA articles
  • Exposure to ERP systems and migrations
  • Cin7 Core / Omni ERP experience
  • Inventory and production costing exposure
  • AI and productivity tools knowledge

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operational accounting and bookkeeping functions
  • Month-end processing and reconciliations
  • Financial reporting support
  • Intercompany processing
  • Support with ERP and Xero migration projects
  • Financial analysis and reporting using Excel
  • Assist across the Group finance function

  • Permanent, full-time, on-site role
  • Based in Klapmuts / Paarl area
  • Standard 8-hour workday with flexible start and finish times
  • Occasional travel between Group sites may be required
