Assessor (Benoni or Vanderbijlpark)
A well-established college with head office located in Benoni is seeking an Assessor to join their team either in Benoni or Vanderbijlpark.
Requirements:
The following scope and assessor registration is required for an applicant to be successful:
Services SETA:
1. SAQA ID 61755 – GETC: Business Practice NQF 1
2. SAQA ID 67454 – NC: Business Administration NQF 3
3. SAQA ID 57712 – FETC: Generic Management NQF 4
4. SAQA ID 50080 – FETC: Project Management NQF 4
5. SAQA ID 93996 – FETC: Contact Centre Operations NQF 4
Wholesale and Retail SETA
1. SAQA ID 63333 – FETC: Wholesale and Retail Operations Supervision NQF 4
2. SAQA ID 63334 – NC: Wholesale and Retail Operations Management NQF 5
Beneficial but not required:
1. SME Experience / Qualifications in the following
a. Contact Centre management
b. Warehouse or Stores Management
c. Finance
d. Project Management
e. Manufacturing / Production Management
Roles and responsibilities:
1. Assessment of Portfolio’s
a. Managing and reporting on the monthly assessment plan
b. Assess portfolios within 30 days of submission
c. Complete all required documentation for assessment according to SETA and QCTO best
practices
d. Providing feedback and guidance for remediation and facilitating re-assessment within
timelines
e. Co-ordinating with the learner and training team to achieve Competence of learners
where possible
f.Implement and conduct Quality Assurance processes to ensure that the assessment
process is adhered to at all times
g. Record and report statistics of the assessment process with the team during meetings
h. Maintain effective communication at all times
i.Liaise with the relevant QAP to ensure a successful external verification of each sampled
portfolio
2. Administration
a. Ensure assessment results are captured and updated at all times
b. Implement, use and maintain effective document storage and archiving processes to
ensure that documents are never lost and easily accessible
3. Learner Support
a. Schedule assessments / remediation and re-assessments with learners
b. Manage learner support on assessment related queries
Additional functions.
1. Monitor the quality of assessments conducted by peer and constituent assessors
2. Conduct coaching sessions with peer and constituent assessors to improve the overall quality of
assessments
3. Provide feedback to facilitators to improve the quality of facilitation
4. Moderate or quality assurance assessments where you have scope and are not the assigned
assessor
5. Continually expand your assessment / subject matter expertise scope and registrations as the job
may required
