SAIPA Trainee in Roodepoort – Accounting firm

Accounting company in Roodepoort is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SAIPA Article Clerk to join our accounting and finance team. The successful candidate will complete their articles while gaining practical, hands-on experience across accounting, auditing, taxation, and financial reporting in line with SAIPA  training requirements. 3 Year contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Perform bookkeeping functions, including capturing of transactions and reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with other tax-related submissions
  • Assist with income tax calculations and provisional tax returns
  • Support audit and assurance engagements, including audit file preparation
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with payroll processing and statutory submissions
  • Perform general accounting and administrative duties as required
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation
  • Work closely with senior accountants and managers to meet deadlines

Training & Development

  • Complete SAIPA training programme requirements
  • Attend required training courses, assessments, and professional development sessions
  • Rotate through different accounting and finance functions to gain exposure

Minimum Requirements

  • BCom Accounting degree or equivalent (completed or in progress)
  • Registered or eligible to register for SAIPA articles
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (advantageous)
  • English and Afrikaans speaking
  • Strong academic record

Salary – R7,500 – R9,500

08:00h to 15:30h (lunch taken at end of the day)

Training Lead and Development/ Training Manager – Contract Position

The Training Manager is responsible for the operational planning, coordination, and execution of all training delivery activities, ensuring that programmes are delivered on time, at the required quality standard, and in compliance with SETA, QCTO, and contractual requirements. This role owns how training is delivered (execution, logistics, coordination) and does not own curriculum design or accreditation, which remain the responsibility of the Training & Development Lead.

This is a contract position – 6 – 12 months possibility for going permanent.

Duties & Responsibilities

Training Planning & Scheduling 

Develop and manage detailed training schedules for all programmes. • Coordinate training calendars across sites, clients, and delivery modes. • Allocate facilitators based on competence, availability, and programme requirements. • Ensure training readiness prior to delivery (venues, materials, systems).

Training Delivery Execution
Oversee daily training operations and delivery execution. • Monitor facilitator attendance, performance, and delivery quality. • Ensure learner attendance, engagement, and participation are tracked. • Address delivery disruptions, delays, or operational challenges promptly

Compliance & Documentation Control

Ensure all training delivery documentation is completed accurately and timeously. • Ensure compliance with SETA/QCTO delivery, assessment, and reporting requirements. • Liaise with SETA Lead to ensure registration, assessment, and exit processes are supported. • Maintain audit-ready training records and evidence

Facilitator Coordination & Oversight

Manage facilitator deployment, performance, and adherence to delivery standards. • Support facilitators with operational guidance and issue resolution. • Escalate performance or compliance issues to management where required. • Coordinate induction and briefing of facilitators for programmes.

Learner & Client Coordination

Coordinate with HR Practitioner on learner onboarding, attendance, and discipline. • Liaise with clients on training schedules, delivery progress, and operational matters. • Ensure client expectations are managed and service commitments are met. • Support resolution of learner or client-related delivery issues

Systems, Resources & Logistics

Coordinate with IT and Service Support to ensure system and equipment readiness. • Ensure availability of learning materials, venues, and resources. • Support implementation of blended and online delivery models. • Monitor resource utilisation and flag operational constraints

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Track training delivery metrics, attendance, and completion rates. • Prepare operational training reports for management. • Identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. • Implement corrective actions to improve delivery effectiveness

Authority & Accountability

Accountable for operational execution of training delivery. • No authority to alter curricula, qualifications, or accreditation scope. • No authority to approve funding or contractual deviations. • Required to escalate delivery risks, non-compliance, or quality issues immediately

Senior Training Administrator

Reporting to MD

 

Purpose: 

The Senior Training Administrator is responsible for the following:

 

  • Client Liaison
  • Scoping of new projects to ensure timeous implementation
  • Manage The capture, upload and maintain all the required learner information on Learner Management System
  • Manage the reporting on issues and risks to client regarding attendance
  • Manage and ensure that relevant training supplies and materials are timeously acquired before commencement of training
  • Update changes made to projects as and when required
  • Effectively manage project schedules
  • Provide clear and concise communication to all stakeholders
  • Monitor learner progress
  • Manage and train on the accurate and systematic filling of all records
  • Manage and implement all QCTO accreditation applications and ensure compliance to relevant processes
  • Manage accurate learner registrations with various bodies
  • Manage and ensure compliance to QMS
  • Identify and efficiently allocate resources
  • Provide accurate reporting

Requirements: 

  • 5 Years’ experience in training and development as well as working with SETA and QCTO related stakeholders and systems
  • Matric Certificate
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the SETA and QCTO processes – Essential and non-negotiable
  • SDF Advantageous

Salary: R25 000 – R32 000
