Internal Recruiter

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement overall recruiting strategy for learnerships and skills interventions
  2. Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc
  3. Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc
  4. Build strategies to recruit hard to find demographics
  5. Screen candidate’s resume’s and job applications
  6. Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
  7. Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
  8. Onboard new employees / learners in order to become fully integrated
  9. Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
  10. Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
  11. Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  12. Promote colleges reputation as “best place to learn”

Requirements and skills

  1. Proven work experience as a Recruiter for learnerships and related skills programmes
  2. Experience in administrating recruitment records and talent pools
  3. Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress etc)
  4. Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference check etc)
  5. Familiarity with Credit and Criminal checks procedures
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Strong decision-making skills
  8. Assertiveness
